Before you add promotion sections to the webpage you want; you will need to create the promotion posts first, for this follow the step as below:
- Go to Alley Toolkit > Promotions
- Click on “Add New”
- Add the title, this will be displayed on the promotion card
- Add a description to explain the promotion, this will be displayed only on the individual promotion page and not on the promotion card
- Add excerpt, this will display on the promotion card below the title
- Add disclaimer, this will display on the promotion card below the excerpt
- Add tags, you can add services as tags and later filter promotions based on the tag
- Add a featured image, this is optional as the promotion widget has layouts without images as well
- Select post template “Promotion with sidebar” if you need to display sidebar in the individual promotion page, else leave as it is
- Click “Publish”
After creating the promotion posts, you will need to use the promotions widgets to the page where you want to show promotion. To do this follow the steps below:
- Edit page as Elementor, where you want to add the promotion widget
- Search for “Promotion Layout” in the widget search bar or scroll down to locate the “Promotion Layout” Under “Alley Elementor Widget Layout”
- Drag and drop the widget into the Elementor section
- Now select the layout and display option in the content section accordingly
- Style your widget element from the style section of the widget
- Now publish your page.
